  2. here we go again

oh no it isn't in the test centres here in the UK.
  3. here we go again

Oops, surprises me...but I learned something. Took a "sample" test on the net yesterday, scored 11 only.... A bit like the pub quizz, once they start asking about kings centuries ago, artists, poets, writers or soccer players I am doomed ....
  4. here we go again

It's available in languages other than English.
  5. here we go again

Why "unfortunately" ? It's England so it is in English If in France it is in French Seems logic to me. Sadly the system is now way more complicated then 20 years ago. In France as well. On my side, will give it a try for a tourist visa for my Miss, just for her to discover the western world. But I put her chances at max 50%. So be it ! If she doesn't get it, I still go.. alone.....
  6. here we go again

    unfortunately not mate.

  8. here we go again

10 times is a lot. Was the test in Thai?
  9. here we go again

Not sure what rules you mean. The rules are not for UK citizens if you are referring to the LIUK.
  10. here we go again

but the rules are biased towards UK citizens in their own country.explain that.??
  11. here we go again

mate we have done more courses than hare coursing, and they downright refuse the certificates.the whole system is a shambles.to any member contemplating marrying a girl.believe me that's just the start of it.love my wife to bits, its the UK that is wrong and not me or pukky.
  12. here we go again

I worked 13 years legit in Thailand and had to report every 90 days. Their country, their rules, I guess it works that way for all countries. Good luck with the forms
  13. here we go again

I reckon a lot of British people would not pass the LIUK test. You should have booked her in for a 3 day course at a small college where they grade you on English language and communication skills with a City & Guilds cert. They accept that as an alternative, well they used to anyway. Cost about £180 when my wife did it. They charge every time you fail the Living in UK test, so it works out cheaper and quicker.
  14. here we go again

9 years now mate.if 10 we could had gone a different route.never had a day off work sick.only for holidays, which currently we are being deprived of as her residency needs 6 months validity.broken Britain is correct.all because after 10 attempts she couldn't pass the life in the UK test.consequently we we down the article8 route"a right to a family life".to be fair last time it only took 2 weeks.a Thailand trip is well overdue.although the rules are unfair, they are rules.
  15. here we go again

How many years has she been in UK 🇬🇧? It appears very unfair for Brits taking their wives and family to UK .. A person says they are persecuted they can stay !!! Broken Britain
  16. here we go again

er no as im a UK citizen.my mate is from Ireland and his bird was given 10 years.after the initial 2 years was up.i have just adjusted the figures on my self assessment.
  17. here we go again

Have you not got her a permanent residency yet? She’s been here long enough surely?
  18. here we go again

get this sorted and is a long trip and not before time.
  19. the time has come to renew pukkys UK residencey.as usual im doing it my self as a soliciter is 800.it costs 997 now.3 years ago it was free.39 pages but a lot doesn't apply to us.ive done this before and am happy to help those in a similar situation.
  20. What are you watching on TV

    Vietnam war. Good documentary.
  21. What are you watching on TV

Some good characters in GOT. Likable ones such as Arya, Tyrrion, Brienne and the Hound. And excellent ones to hate no one more than Ramsey Bolton. If there isn't a female in it that doesn't give you a bit of a twitch then I'd say you are probably in the gays.
  22. What are you watching on TV

Working my way through Game of Thrones now. Didn’t think I would like it as normally don’t like fantasy stuff but I’m really enjoying it. Ozarks was quite good. Suits was really good.
  23. What are you watching on TV

Right now I'm eagerly awaiting Mondays when I can stream the latest Ray Donovan. There's still no official date but Peaky Blinders is expected to begin showing season 4 next month. Also starting next month is season 5 of Vikings. Another twenty episodes but again split into two batches. Not sure what to think about there being no Ragnar but Lagethar is still there and she causes a twitch every time she appears on screen for me.
  24. What are you watching on TV

Watched Liar and Doctor Foster, everyone I know raved about them both, I thought they average at best.

  28. Scotland New Manager

The Scottish manager job is a poisoned chalice like the English one. Probably David Moyes would get the job, provided he wants it.

    • Needed to do a visa run, so used the opportunity to visit Yangon together with Mrs. CampariO and her sister in law.
Applied for an E-visa which arrived 1 day after, the ladies can get a visa exempt at the immigration in Yangon. Booked Air Asia for 2200 Bt/person, drove by car to Don Muang.

Day 1: Flight from BKK to Yangon, Visit Shwedagon Pagoda and park

The terminal 2 is now open

Between terminal 1 and 2 is a large food court with a good choice of eateries.

Checked in online, there is a remark on top of the boarding pass to do the document check (checking the e-visa) which is done in BKK at the gate while in Yangon at the baggage drop.

Since when do they have the flight info in Chinese?

    • We have a small (54 rai) farm adjacent to Erawan shrine at the border of NBLP and Loei provinces. It is mostly orchards, e.g., Tamarinds, Kefir, Rubber, and Maoberry but last year we started dairy farming with an initial small seed herd of 25 Heifers with a business plan to build it up to 100 milkers within 5 years.

One year into the BP we are at 30 milkers with another 8 coming of age in a few months and a total including calves of 45 with new ones arriving every month ... including the baby bull in brown and white in one of the pictures below. Any way, a few shots from this morning after some early hours helping momma deliver the new guy. Momma has some "splaining" to do ... she's one of the black & whites being chased in another photo and the little guy is brown and white like a longhorn ... maybe momma is getting some strange on the side.

My mate Ziva ... a 5-month old Labrador.

Some of the bovines including new mom and brown-colored stranger
