Facebook To Show EPL Games In Asia From 2019

Recommended Posts

I always thought it would go this way after the streaming boom 10 years ago. What I think will happen now is Sky and BT will rival it with a global service point as oppose to locked down to the UK.

I think FB and Amazon won't pay the mega bucks Sky, BT, Fox, Bein etc pay. What they are trying to do though may well be a game changer.

So the monies would come from advertising ? I must confess either Amazon , Google or FB things pop up and I have bought books and bike stuff ... So clearly the ‘knowledge based ‘ advertising works ....

Your browsing history, browsing content, habits, even the latest technology can use your phone camera to acknowledge when you smile while watching an advert or pause on a piece of interest. It's all about building a profile.

Data monkeys - the way of the world.

To me that's where Facebook have the upper hand, they know what people's interests and likes are and target you with the appropriate advertising.

Do a Google search for something and you can be sure an advertisement for that item product will appear on your Facebook timeline.

What Facebook may do though is target the market for each individual team. Not just EPL teams but all the top teams from Europe and get them to sign up to them direct. For me Facebook entering the football market is a game changer and Sky and BT won't be able to compete with them.
