me either , it was indeed the worst meal ive ever had in pattaya .

if I ever did try this place again I might be from the a la carte menu , but I definitely wouldn't touch the very disappointing and actually health hazard buffet .

its not healthy to have ribs and chicken cooked , go cold , be re heated , go cold , get reheated and so on and so on all day .

high risk of food poisoning .

As I wrote there is a new Farang manager.

The former Thai manager was kicked out.

Ok, the remaining staff is more or less the same, so certain thing will still take some time to change.

Fantastic, though a bit too much grappa in the sauce for my taste.

Ooops, too late for the foto shoot. Rhubarb liqueur, wow!

"Ooops, too late for the foto shoot. Rhubarb liqueur, wow!"

My goodness, ages I have seen any Rhubarb thing.

Used to have Rhubarb marmalade when I was a kid in the east of France. Grandpa used to grow it in the garden.

Another "poor man" food in those days !

Todays Sunday buffet featured cold smoked salmon, so it was like a must for me to go.

The salad bar:

Side dishes: spinach, cauliflower gratin, fried potatos, carrots

Pork ribs and chicken
25476347gn.jpg
Pork loin
25476349qt.jpg
...and salmon.
25476350xa.jpg
The som tum table, self service, but if it is a slow day, the staff will do the work for you.

My choice of salad
25476341dq.jpg
I concentrated on the salmon with some garlic sauce from the salad bar.
25476342ll.jpg
GF probably had the ribs as usual, didn't take much notice as I was busy with my food.
Though I remember her having somtum, of course.
25476351vf.jpg
A custard dessert with starberry and some other berry was included in the buffet (299 Baht)
25476356ff.jpg
All tasted great, nothing I could complain about, though I didn't taste all the other food.
Two times buffet, 3 beer Leo, 1 espresso, total damage 838 Baht.
That is less than some people spend on a taxi to the bright side or tip in an exclusive restaurant. :fun:
The buffet on next Wednesday will have some meat loaf.

Too lazy to cook croquettes? Bought 1 kilo @ 185 Baht at Aroi today.

Was looking in the usual places, such as Friendship, but you get there maybe 3 or 4 large ones for the same price.

I ordered them as fully cooked ahead to store them in the freezer and only need to reheat them in the pan (or microwave but then they won't be crispy).

Normally they are availabe half fried and frozen, so you fry them further in oil.
