  1. Premium Economy class

My first few trips were out of LHR on a similar 747. Sat right in the pointy bit. Great seats, loads of space, and only minimally less than economy
  2. Premium Economy class

I used to use Eva's premium economy a lot...more leg room, a slightly wider seat, but for me the biggest advantage was having a double arm rest between me and the next seat, so wasn't always fighting my neighbour for it. I'm surprised more airline don't include it.
  3. U-Tapao to get a second runway

I believe it was originally built by the Americans for some war effort in asia. As such the runway and taxi ways can take 747s and anything else thrown at it. From memory dirung the shutdown at swampy many airlines landed there, but passengers had to be bussed to bkk somewhere to go through immigration as the terminal couldn't cope. Vice versa leaving the country
  4. U-Tapao to get a second runway

Also tempted by Qatar. Their upper deck services are, imo, far better than the others, if not for the eat on demand, rather than when we tell you. However, they do not offer the limo service in the UK, which saves me £150 in taxi costs. If their price is comparable to the others I'd take it any day.
  5. U-Tapao to get a second runway

I flew from utapo one morning during early january...6.30 flight. Couldn't even buy a coffee at the place! Did notice the building work for the new terminal and hope that will be better.
  6. All were taken over a couple of days, circa 10am to 12 noon
  7. Soi Buckhou Market

Obviously my laundry requirements are substandard and only fit for the degenerate that I am.
  8. Soi Buckhou Market

Or 30b and a handful of powder for, in this case, 25 plus pieces. Oh, and a bit of time, of which I have plenty to spare. Ironing? Nah!
  9. Soi Buckhou Market

Fortunately I was alone, and not shopping. I was in , out and back at the washing machine in 20 minutes! I might have been longer if it hadn't been so hot
  10. Soi Buckhou Market

The coffee shops on the southern edge...benjamit?.... we're doing a roaring trade...standing room only and no elbow space provided
  11. Soi Buckhou Market

Whilst a machine was doing my laundry on Soi Buckhou, I went for a wander around the market....It was blooming hot as always, and alarmingly wet underfoot, especially with all those power cables along the floor...
  12. TravelTrolley

I've used several of the online agents in the past, usually with no problems. However, as above, and changes, and you will struggle. Once had to cancel a trip, and the terms said refund within 90 days...it was 89 days! Eva direct said refund within 21(I think) and it was with me in 2 Personally these days I'll always book with the airline, even though it often...but not always... costs a little more.
  13. Interesting day at the office, eh?!
  14. Life is good.

Hope you are enjoying it. Thanks for the pics, as always.
