Quite a few shops selling good lids now (Honda Big Wing, Kawasaki dealer directly opposite Big Wing on Suk), but not sure just how big you need.

Probably cheaper to buy a decent brand in the UK (where all sizes available) and bring it over with you.

If he wore it onto the plane would it be considered carry on luggage ? Or just head covering like a hat

One of the most baffling aspects of motorcycle riders I see touring the mountains up here in Loei is many of them are riding Ducati, BMW, Harley, etc., expensive bike and wearing Index and similar cheap helmets.
