A Friend Has Asked Me To Sell His Motorbike .

Recommended Posts

one of my friends has gone back to Scotland might not be back in Thailand for a while and has asked me to sell his motorbike for him .

its a Honda click 125i in black with red trim .

its less than 3 months old , still on red plates .

has done almost 2000 kms .

he also paid 6000 b extra on sports wheels .

brand new price 56,000 b plus change .

looking for 50,000 b for it .

I was down in myttons last week giving them his id and his authorization to give me the bikes green book , insurance and number plates , but the number plates are not here yet though I expect them in a week or two .

so on getting the green book , insurance and plates I want to sell it on his behalf , how do I go about that legally in Thailand ?

Whenever I sold I needed to supply

Proof of immigration (300 baht from Immigration )

Signed copy of passport

The green book signed , that was always signed at the vehicle centre with the buyer.

That's to transfer ownership , perhaps a Thai could do it with just the green book signed ?

I have know a person sell a bike without the above for a way lower price, it means it can't be sold on but can be taxed and insured.

we want to do it legally , and want the best price .

so he may have to wait until he comes back to sell it and provide a signature on the green book , residents papers , though its easy to get his passport details and copy .
