UK Travel Advice - Mount Agung Eruption Bali

As much as we have our very own board member offering on site (well nearby) updates this travel advice has been put out by the UK Government and contains quite a lot of pertinent information for anybody traveling to the region including many phone numbers etc etc.

A site where one can watch the evolution of the ash cloud is the Darwin Volcanish Ash Advisory

http://www.bom.gov.au/info/vaac/advisories.shtml

Select "AGUNG" and see the expected evolution. Time is Zulu time.

Volcano location is indicated, airport is located near the tip on the South, about 60 km from the airport.  Airport closure all depends on the winds.

Well at least the volcano will not stop you getting back to your jungle home, after the delights of bali.

Believe it or not, Blimbingzari (Banyuwangi) airport was closed as well as Jember ! 

Anyway , going by road on.Tuesday !

The thing just blew a few hours ago....

Ash cloud drifting West to Java (passing above the jungle house..but I didn't tell the Miss)

Bali airport still operating, just heard a flight take off.
