"the Dome" Or "ai" All You Can Eat Bbq

Recommended Posts

GF heard that there was a new BBQ place in town where the food was great, so decided to check it out.

The name is “The Dome” or just “Ai” written in Thai and it is located near the Hollywood Club.

You drive from North Pattaya Road on the road that runs between 2nd and 3rd road and takes you behind BigC, then on the left you see the Hollywood Club. Drive further for about 50 m and you can see this sign on the left:

The sign for “The Dome” might not have been illuminated or I just overlooked it but it is huge and can be seen clearly in daytime.

Price for the meat BBQ is 179 Baht, if you want to eat seafood as well is sets you back 399.

I bet it was planned to be 299 earlier, looking at the revised banner.

The place is huge but as it is new there were just a few customers. Made me worry about the freshness of the food a bit but everything on offer looked good.

The central part where the buffet is located is covered by a roof that looks like a giant umbrella and gives the place its name: The Dome.

Some tables are under the dome as well for those who don’t want to walk far to get to the food but is is getting a bit warm there, especially during the 20 or so power cuts that occurred that night and the fans could not be operated.

The seafood section had some shells, fish, crabs, shrimps and sushi. Not really much choice for the additional 220 Baht it costs.

The dip provided blew steam out of my ears so I mixed it together with two parts of the spaghetti sauce. The result is the one on the left.

Delicious!

They had a buy 3 get 1 free offer for several beers, the Chang Export costs 89 Baht for the large bottle.

I don’t remember the prices in other Pattaya BBQ places, the one I visited a few weeks ago in Chayapoom charged 150 and 250 Baht for meat/meat & seafood compared to 179 and 399 Baht The Dome is charging.

There are still some teething issues, like the electric problem, better wait a couple of weeks if you are easily annoyed.

Enjoy!

It's been open for well over a year now and it's good value for a pig out if your with a few healthy eaters ie the Thai family. I quite enjoy the place.

Another cracking food TR. some good looking grub there but 399 seems pricey and not wOrth the money. 299 would be correct I'd have thought

Here is a link to the photo guide in case anybody can't make sense of my directions.

Though what you see is how the area looked like some time ago...before the restaurant was built.
