The Navalai River Resort Hotel, Bangkok.

After having a nightmare bus journey back to Bangkok, i just wanted to check into my hotel ASAP. So booked into the Navalai River Resort Hotel, located on Thanon Phra Athit, very close to the river and Khao San Road. Booked once again through www.booking.com. Room cost me 1600 baht with breakfast included(but never made it to brekkie in the morning). Check in was quick and speedy. Free wifi, not too slow but not quick either. Had a room on the side of the building. After reading reviews about being at the front, im glad a went for this room. Roof top pool here, with great views over the river, and a roof top bar. Nice hotel, i would stay here again, but there is a 1000 baht joiners fee here.

Never ever buy in to the joiners fee! I have stayed at some of the best hotels in Pattaya and Bangkok all with supposed 'joiner' fees. A chat with the manager and you get it waived. Communication is the key. You don't as you don't get.
