  1. That's why you think Birmingham's paradise, creative imagination. Great idea Rob. I need to try it up here😂
  2. I agree! we came close to buying 3 units and making a big one! What really put us off was the apparent lack of maintenance on the lift. Wires hanging out, obviously Thai style don't fix or service anything. But as we looked around it became clear that many of this kind of condo were pretty much same same. For a bolt hole at 27sq metres it would do just fine. Somewhere to park your belongings for future trips. Not far from anywhere and only 300 Baht a month fee to look after, bins emptying etc. Plus at that price, 2 or 3 bar-girls would rent and share it, as well as the farang on a budget.
  3. Brilliant, well done. Easier to rent property in Pattaya than some parts of the UK.
  4. Things must be slow if you can't get it rented. Good luck!
  5. Absolutely, I agree. The fellow that bought Bobby's bar lived there. He quite liked it. I had a cracking few beers in the little bar, friendly owner and customers to chat to. It's not perfect but a decent budget condo.
  6. Nirun is a budget condo. It's ok and well located. Some blocks better than others but for 6k Baht you can't go wrong. We were going to buy three units and make one condo but when we had the chance of a beachfront one in Jomtein, no competition. But Nirun has shops, bars in it. It's ok and easy to rent if the price is right.
  7. They would need to build bigger prisons if they rounded up every farang drug dealer in Pattaya, a booming business.
  8. The UK is long past a joke, it's utterly finished. Yes, Thai immigration have it bang on.
  9. Well, that's fine if you believe them. Stats prove otherwise. And my experience on Thai roads also.
  10. https://www.bangkokpost.com/news/general/1376875/thailand-tops-road-death-ranking-list
  11. On bikes every day. Clocked up countless 1000s km on Thai roads. Thailand is now number one, the most dangerous Country in the World to drive. That's improvement?
  12. The roads and driving are shocking. Carnage. Got a lot busier but that's about that.
  13. Not in our lifetime. They are completely Lawless. Would take a new Government that bothers. A Police force that Policed and an education system that educated. No change.
