  1. I very seldon eat any of it, on this occasion I eat the fruit and the pudding. At heathrow I usually have a steak meal at Hestons place and at Swampy I usually have a Whopper in Burger KIng.
  2. Really, that is interesting given your experience. How did they deal with being told no?
  3. It looks to be doing very well considering it is a new concept, again test of time will tell.
  4. Apparently Scooters have been doing real well with their 3 other bars and were looking for a venue in the Walking Street area. Secrets came under their radar and they have taken the plunge. I quite like the set up in the Scooters bars but I struggle with their model working at higher prices that WS may demand. It will be interesting for sure to see how it pans out.
  5. Ben sold out the pattaya side of things to a guy called Paul, he ran the bar for a bit with his son cooking in the kitchen, now Scooters have made him an offer to take over the bar. This is going to happen in March, they will close for a few weeks to do the refit and hope to open up by the end of March. The forum was being funded by the Pattaya side of things and Paul decided that he wasn't going to pay for it after Feb 20th. At the time, it looked like Ben wasn't interested in keeping it on so many members joined else where. Now it seems that Ben is happy to pay and keep the forum going, but for how long who knows. The staff have been told that they will still have a job after the refit but again things can change.
  6. I think many members have been looking for a new home, hence How24111 joining here, Ben seems to be happy to keep the forum going for the time being but as you know things can change.
  7. How24111 has been a long standing member of Secrets forum since it started, whilst I haven't met him personally I beleive him to be a genuine person and your last sentence may well prove to be true now it appears that Secrets is staying open for the time being. LOL
  8. I don't quite understand what you are asking but there were several people who had a similar problem around the same time as me, including my laudry lady. The doctor said it was an airborne virus that was seasonal.
  9. I have been fairly lucky, but did go to BPH with a bit of an eye infection a few year back. They have a great eye department and I got prompt attention. As a viral infection there wasn't much to be done apart from steroid drops to reduce the swelling and some other drops to help stop the eye drying out. I had to return 3 weeks later for a follow up and the total cost was around 1000b including the drops.
  10. Oh shit, I ordered it in, was I suppost to make it myself? Apologies
  11. Just had a chicken Vindaloo with veg rice, Saag aloo, tarka dal and a garlic naam. Delicious
  12. Since Eva have been in the new terminal at Heathrow they operate an automated check in at a machine where your seat will be allocated if not previously booked and a boarding pass printed. You then go to a bag drop counter which isn't manned by Eva staff. At the counter ask for availability of an Emergency exit seat. They will make a phone call and probably have to leave their station to consult with Eva staff. The Eva staff arrive around 530 so if you arive before they do you can't change. I have been successful doing this my last few trips apart from when i turned up too early and had to settle on my prebooked seat. Good luck!
  13. I regularily fish here and in Pattaya
