  2. When am there next month will try the Hilton hotels Edge restaurant lunch buffets as have read some good reviews over the last few months. Seems good value as top quality foods and top location by all accounts. Not for the Vests n CC brigade though!!
  3. Ok thx CT on the info Known that VT1 is cheap as the 1st of the VT's and stayed in VT2B for several mths and very popular but the walls were thin as could hear the tv n music and shagging when the next door units were rented out on short term holiday lets. VT2 now asking silly prices but the rooms are decent sizes and minimum to live in...how you're supposed to live in a 26m shoebox unless your a wee fellow beggars belief??? Am slumming it in VT7 this time as got friend that's letting me have studio at good price...looks classier though.
  4. Thx very much for the info and pics chaps!! Don't think the owners or renters in Chateau Dale will be happy having a huge construction nxt door!! What an eyesore!! As thought shoeboxes at ridiculous prices... As mentioned above and my thoughts are the same as the older condos are better value and prob better constructed i.e the view talays and baan suan lalana etc... With so many condo projects going around I don't think quality will be at the top of the list!!
  5. Hi I will be back to Patts in the new year and want to use my iphone4s as my local thai mobile when there. Currently at end of contract with Tesco mobile (O2) and have got a new android mobile so will keep separate. Where's best place apart from the rip off hyenas in Tukcom to get unlocked and which is best for local usage in Thai as need to be able to use the wifi and apps that go with it i.e.; whatsapp and Line etc..costs etc.. Have read you can do it yourself online?? Used AIS 1 to call before just wondering if Dtac/ True would be better??
  6. Have seen the adverts and posters around town for while now about this condo project and noticed big offices on thappraya road. Is it yet another off plan condo project with fancy computer related inages?? Have they started building yet and are they just more shoeboxes aimed at the Russian market?? Any info and feedback would be appreciated
  7. Its an awesome phone and just got 1 myself on contract and about half the price of the iphone 6. When I saw the large HD screen I was sold and included case too and seems the iphone 6 is too hyped up and is clearly playing catch up to the bigger screens of the Samsung and HTC now. Just got to get used to Android now as had an iphone 4s last few yrs.
  8. Have read about the place within New Plaza is it Frydays? gets rave reviews and quite reasonable. Plus Jockys on soi Lengkee supposedly is nice too? as have ate there several times and found the food nice and clean but not tried the fish n chips there yet.

Ok thanks for the info as the pics only show a few barstools and tables at the front so could'nt tell Will defo try it and looks like opposite Café Pitini and Jollies on Buakow.
  10. Read that there's a lot more places doing better fish n chips so will give them a go too when next there. Always the way when 1 place is the tops for food, everyone raves on about it but they do go bit downhill after a while.

If am going to eat at a restaurant, which am assuming W & R is, then surely you have dining tables and chairs to sit at as per norm? If am going to a bar then yes bar stools and high tables are the norm and ok for drinks and bar snacks but def not a proper meal. Common sense.

Will defo have to try it after looking at the pics and reports. Take it that W & R have proper seating and tables inside the restaurant and your not eating sat on bar stools??
  13. The JF was always my fri nt fish n chip meal before doing the gogo rounds around LK Metro. Was the bees knees few yrs ago and you sometimes struggled to get a seat there as was packed most evenings. Read a few posts that its changed hands few times and although some said wasn't as good, I thought was ok when there earlier this year apart from some stroppy waitress.
  14. Good to see the pound back over 50bt and moving towards 60bt where it needs to be for us hard pressed Brits!!
  15. Ahhh jst tried to pm you?? Didn't let me....... Ok wil send u email now then thx
  16. hi Gabor Will be interested as would like to stay at VT2 again but arr Feb 3 in evening so let me know if still available ok cheers
  17. Pity as am still looking fr 3rd Feb onwards. might have to stay up on the DS again at this rate...will see what occurs.
  18. Hi ahhh pity as need a room for first 3 wks of Feb, oh well thought would try here on the forum but will keep trying. cheers
  19. Hi Gabor just wondering if the new room is available in Feb?
  20. Did you dip your feet in it for a fish feet massage??
  21. Always found that Pitinis English breakfast was nice and good value too, not the cheapest but tasty and good service in a nice air con restaurant. The Golf Club has an excellent breakfast menu and have only ever gone there for Eggs Benedict which is nice for a bit of brunch. Lots to choose from in and around the sexpats triangle of sois Diana, Buakow, Lengkee and LK Metro and each have their own favourites but wont have the cheapest option, as would rather pay for quality and a tasty breakfast as usually have cereals, juice, tea and toast or pancakes in the morning.
  22. Should be no-smoking in a restaurant full stop. Its not fair on other diners there. In bars its tolerated but officially is banned too with just open air beer bars being allowed I guess?
  23. I thought theres a no-smoking policy in hotels/restaurants/bars officially in thai as there trying to keep up with the western world. Crazy if the owners allowing smoking inside a bar/restaurant as nice as looking as it is, am afraid wont be going in there breathing in their stinking smoke. Pity about the brekkie and the owners short comings!!
  24. Excellent review and pics of this place and good modern layout too which is lacking in Pattaya as a whole compared to European dining places. If had more quality places like this it makes living on the darkside a lot more conveniant. Seems good prices too but you said they allow smoking inside the restaurant? thats a no-no from me if it is the case?
