  1. Pound to the baht

Transitional agreement formally adopted and Brexit trade negotiating guildlines just now. £ will probably get another nudge up, maybe tine to transfer a few quid if you're an expat.
  2. Pound to the baht

Transitional agreement reached, then 2 votes for rate increase, has made the £ lift a little. Nothing major.

Welcome Dave, aye, it has it's moments alright
  4. A Great Article On West Ham Situation.

Sad mate, and sadly indicative of football nowadays ...

You're from the UK then? Yea, I don't think it would be for me, I'd be bored, but that's just me. Plenty do, and each to their own. Don't know that much about Isaan to be fair, apart from a week in Buriram a few years ago, have never really stated there. But it's good you're 'reaching out' so to speak, stick around you'll get to know other people who stay there, how they do it, ideas etc, so not to get bored. There's an American guy who does a brilliant thread on here, kinda his daily life there. He's actually back in the US for a wee while, but coming back, he'll no doubt pick it up again.

Certainly not an unusual story, mate. There are a few board members living in Isaan, up round you in Nong Khai as well. Think you need plenty to do, keep busy with, hobbies, stuff you're interested in, fishing, motor bike trips etc. So as not to get bored, end up drinking all day or the like. Just my opinion like, some might like drinking all day

Welcome mate. We were all on a learning curve when we first came. You'll get told stuff pretty much straight up here, which is better for your sanity in the long run anyway
  9. Soi Buckhou Market

Thanks for the pics, used to enjoy the market, though the animals are a bit heart wrenching. Haven't went in a while, hard to navigate with a buggy, and very hot for the little one.
  10. TravelTrolley

Yes, we had to change flights last year due to me having to stay in Pattaya Memorial, our insurance paid for it all, very good they were.
  11. TravelTrolley

Traveldolly lol, was that intentional ... Tinpot ticket? A ticket in economy is a ticket in economy, mate. As mentioned, If you book direct with the airline you more and cheaper options if you need to change, but the economy seat is the economy seat no matter where booked. There are usually flash sales around Easter, probably gonna book then if so. See how much of a difference between a search engine and book direct, though I can't see any date changes. Tempting fate I know ...
  12. TravelTrolley

Is it like a world wide Aviation Card or something, sounds like the Masons lol
  13. TravelTrolley

Didn't even know you could fly standby. Not that's it's an option Now anyway ...
  14. TravelTrolley

Yea, due to my wife's Visa situation last trip, I booked direct with EVA, as it was only £50pp for any changes, though we didn't need to change after all. That's been sorted now, so I'm probably tempting fate, but don't think we'll change our dates this trip. If it was not too much difference, I'd always book direct with the airline. But paying for 3 is a bit of a wedge, and if I get a good deal on TT or whomever, that's what I'll do.
