  11. Set on an old and now unused ex- USAF and Royal Dutch Air Force military airfield, lies the NMM (Nationaal Militare Museum) of all 3 arms of the Dutch Military (Navy, Army and Air Force). Located in quite an isolated area, its not all that hard actually to find and get to on public transport. The whole airfield is now been turned into a wildlife park and the museum takes over the main ramp area of the airfield.
  12. Tanks and planes. The Dutch NMM Soesterberg.

Its bigger than just that building. Off to the left are a further 2 more hangers/maintenance huts with other aircraft parts and exhibits. But i didn't have the time to check these out as i was worried abut finding my way back to the train station and onwards to Amsterdam.
  13. Istanbul................. Part 3

Thanks Dave, it is a great city to visit, if even only for a weekend trip.
  14. Istanbul.......... Part 2

They certainly do blow them away. I wasn't completely sure what to expect when i got there, but needless to say i had a great time. Wish i had stayed a few more days longer. But hoping to get back out there again this year.
  15. Went to Istanbul last August, as a bit of a birthday treat to myself. Actually not a bad a place as i thought it was going to be, and really enjoyed it. If you love chicken, you will love Turkey!!
  16. Istanbul.......... Part 2

"The World is not enough" and " Skyfall" both feature scenes from Istanbul, bit one of their scenes were filed in the Cistern.
  17. Istanbul.......... Part 2

"From Russia with love", but hardly a recent film, as it was released in 1963!!!!
  18. Istanbul.......... Part 2

Its the Bascilica Cistern. Correct on both counts. It was used in those movies and others.
