Recommended Posts

All over the internet now that he's in Leicester for talks, some even reporting it's as good as a done deal.

I'd like to hear Alex's answer to this question. But because of the money that the Premier League can generate, are middle of the table English Premier League clubs like Leicester now looked at as bigger Teams than Celtic ?

For me if he does go a lot of it will be because of the break down of his relationship with Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell. I don't think it was ever great but if your a Celtic fan you know its been strained for a long time now.

Is he going to stay until the end of the season to see if he can complete the treble treble. Would be a mental career move to walk away from such an amazing success when it's within touching distance.

I can't understand this.

He is on the verge of a treble treble. An achievement that will likely never be matched again, it would cement his place in the history of Scottish football.

Why give up that for Leicester were the best he can hope for his a mid-table finish. Seems mental.

As I said above, break down in his relationship with Peter Lawwell.

When there is a break down in a relationship between a chief executive and a manager the outcome will always be the same "We would like to thank Brendan......."

in solely financial terms even championship teams are bigger than celtic these days mate .

no sky money for us worth talking about .

in real terms only man utd and liverpool are as big as celtic in english footall , in terms of fan base , reputation , , history , success and instant recognition .

Makes perfect sense. Done a fantastic job before and was doing a great job at Hibs. His return will go down well with the teddy bears...

Look at the budget and squad he had in that league, couldn’t fail.

He finished fourth with them in his first season after promotion as well. Done a very good job all things considered.

Just demonstrates the priorities between mid table premier league and Scottish football. Basically confirms Scottish football is pants......(for the small number that didn’t know it already).

Would like to thank him for the invincible season

Would like to thank him for the first ever double treble

Would like to thank him for the 7 out of 7 domestic trophies

but how any so called self proclaimed Celtic man could walk out on his club at this important stage of the season, where if he hung around for another 3 months could have left with his head held high always to be welcomed back and treated with genuine warmth from the support.

Now his legacy is in tatters with the support (rightly so) to join Leicester FFS  Leicester FFS  Leicester FFS - what a complete tadger.
